Mhāre Ghar Āo Jī Prītam Pyārā
Mhāre ghar āo jī prītam pyārā. Tum bin sūnā mandir morā, sūnā sej pasārā. Nayan bichhāe rāh nihārū̃, man morā ati bechārā. Mīrā ke prabhu Giridhar Nāgar, darasan dījo nyārā.

مہارے گھر آؤ جی پریتم پیارا۔ تم بن سونا مندر مورا، سونا سیج پسارا۔ نین بچھائے راہ نہاروں، من مورا اَتِ بےچارا۔ میرا کے پربھو گردھر ناگر، درسن دیجو نیارا۔
English Translation
Poetic English rendering
Come to my house, my beloved; come before the lamps grow tired of waiting. Without you the temple is empty, the bed is empty, every room listens for your steps. I spread my eyes upon the road and keep watch; longing has made my heart helpless. Meera says: Giridhar, grant me the rare mercy of your presence.
