Jo Tum Toḍo Piyā
Jo tum toḍo piyā, main nāhī̃ toḍū̃. Tum saṅg toḍū̃ to kis saṅg joḍū̃. Tum bhae taruvar, main bhaī pañchhī. Tum bhae sarovar, main terī machharī. Mīrā ke prabhu Giridhar Nāgar, tum bin rahū̃ na morī.

جو تم توڑو پیا، میں ناہیں توڑوں۔ تم سنگ توڑوں تو کس سنگ جوڑوں۔ تم بھئے ترور، میں بھئی پنچھی۔ تم بھئے سروور، میں تیری مچھری۔ میرا کے پربھو گردھر ناگر، تم بن رہوں نہ موری۔
English Translation
Poetic English rendering
Even if you turn away, beloved, I will not turn from you. If I loosen this bond, where else could my heart belong? If you are the tree, I am the bird that returns to your branches; if you are the water, I am the fish that cannot live apart. Meera says: Giridhar, without you, life has no shore.
